Why We Created Delessa

We were tired of reading ingredient lists that read like chemistry experiments, especially in products marketed as "healthy alternatives." The chocolate industry had lost its way - prioritizing processed shortcuts over authentic quality.

When developing our production recipe, we tested dozens of different ingredients and chose the ones that tasted best - regardless of price. Because true quality can't be compromised by cost-cutting.

"If convenience costs me my health, the price is too high."

The Beginning

Almost 20 years ago, I came up with my first chocolate blend as a matter of survival - sugar-free raw vegan chocolate spread. There were too many temptations everywhere I turned, and I had to come up with something delicious and satisfying that would help me stay away from sugar, gluten, and junk food. I've been playing with different blends and perfecting my recipes not only for myself, but also for friends and family.

After some shifts in the market and encouragement from those who've experienced my creations, friends and family convinced me to start Delessa and share it with fellow chocolate lovers who refuse to compromise. In 2020 we started to put it all together, and we launched in 2022, successfully funding our first productions via Indiegogo.
